Pre-existing site constraints are a reality of the built environment, and for Sanel’s growing business, the challenge was how to expand their warehouse space on a very small lot with significant elevation differences, and a need to maintain site circulation for delivery vehicles.
A connected commercial building was demolished to make way for the new construction. Turner Group designed the new building bunkered into the hill and level with the floor of the existing building. No inch of space was left unused in our site design. A retaining wall to the south provided space to configure a wrap around driveway and new parking.
