The Town of Killington in conjunction with the Killington Pico Area Association developed a municipal Park and Ride at the location of the former Bill’s Country Store. Designed with a total of 32 vehicle spaces and two bus spaces, the lot allows people to ride share and accommodates tour buses coming to the region. The design incorporates a shared access drive between Killington Pico Area Association and Base Camp Outfitters, providing for a single intersection with Route 4.

Located within the Kent Brook watershed the Town applied for an ecosystem restoration grant to treat Stormwater runoff from ½ of the building roof and the parking lot prior to the runoff entering the brook and Kent Pond. A design has been prepared for the installation of a Bioretention area on the northerly side of the parking lot. A Bioretention area is a temporary Stormwater impoundment designed to promote infiltration and filtering of Stormwater runoff.
