Tropical Storm Irene, August 28, 2011, destroyed the existing 12.5’ by 8’ plate arch culvert in the South Branch of the Tweed River, collapsing the culvert and washing out the road.

Ottauquechee River Bridge

Bridge Design

Client: Town of Killington
Location: Killington, VT

The Ottauquachee River flowed beneath Thundering Brook Road through three 84” corrugated metal pipe arch culverts. While the velocity in the river was generally moderate to slow, ice and debris damage had deteriorated the inlets, and age had rotted the inverts, leaving the structural integrity in question.

After TS Irene, the town of Killington engaged in a culvert assessment and determined that the three arch pipes needed to be replaced.

Municipal Bridge Project

Client: Town of Killington
Location: Killington, VT

The project entailed the replacement of a single lane 13 ft. span wooden bridge with a cast-in-place reinforced concrete bridge deck with a 20 ft. span and gravel surface. The project provided the town with a bridge that their municipal trucks could safely travel across.

Project: 61 Lot Planned Residential Development

Planned and permitted as a 61 lot residential planned unit development the Stonegate subdivision offers a unique housing product, incorporating compact design which allowed for small individual properties, common space for the neighborhood, and narrow streets.  Enman Kesselring provided engineering design and permitting services which included layout of the project, grading and drainage, sewer, water and stormwater infrastructure.
